1972 Arnold Sales and Engineering Ltd, the company was formed primarily to assemble braided PTFE and metallic hoses, later an opportunity arose to distribute plastic sheet, rod and tube for a mainland European manufacturer. Within three years the company was operating from leasehold 10,000 square feet premises having outgrown the space provided at a terraced house in Northampton’s town centre.

1981 In 1981 continued growth has made a further move necessary, this time to a leasehold space at Round Spinney Industrial Estate. The extra space provided here persuaded the company to offer a Fabrication and Machining service and the design and manufacture of the UK’s first transparent riot shields.

1996 In 1996 the company made its most significant investment to date, a freehold purchase of purpose built premises here in Moulton Park, Northampton.

2018 Now with nine manufacturing divisions including Plastic Engineering, Lamination, Solid Surface, Vacuum Forming, POS & Display, Shop Fitting, Acrylic Furniture, Signs, and Graphics and Personal Protective Equipment products, the company has diversified further making Arnolds a one-stop shop.

Find out about Arnolds from our humble beginnings to one of the UK’s leading plastic manufacturers.

We have been manufacturing plastic products for nearly 50 years and in that time we have gone from a terraced house in Northampton town centre to different factories in the Moulton Park Industrial area of Northampton, culminating in the freehold purchase of our current site which we have extended twice.

Whilst the main stays of our business are all types of plastic machining, welding, fabrication and thermoforming we have diversified to meet customer demands into vacuum forming, lamination, point of sale, display, acrylic furniture, signs and graphics and shop fitting. In fact we now have 9 manufacturing divisions all under one roof.
